  1. The voice sounds like the same guy that called the Diggins/Randall race in 2018. According to nbcolympics.com, it's Drew Lilley and Steve Robillard. I'm streaming it now. Biathlon without Chad Salmela doesn't do it for me anymore!
  2. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. Had no idea where the finish line was coming up
  3. Yea she is! Our commentators thought she may hang back and save energy for the sprint, but this is her kind of course, she could make a move if that pack slows down at all
  4. Chase group made it back up to Karlsson. She hasn't pulled away for the silver
  5. And that's it. Everyone else racing for silver. Of course, our TV broadcast here was in commercial, so we completely missed her pulling away
  6. Still on the chasers to catch her and I don't know who other Frida can do it
  7. Yea, if she's even in contact when they get to freestyle, she'll be in contention
  8. Yes it is.. time to award some medals! Perfect timing as US curling is about to close out China
  9. That's more like it! Bad shot by leaves the house wide open, gets 3 to go up 6-3
  10. Tons of miscues in the 4th end between and , but some great sweeping by China earns them 2. Tied 4-4 at the break
  11. Streaming live here. USA Network will pick up the qualifying round after the hockey game ends, unless they dump out of that early.
  12. It's almost like they saw the conditions at a long of the venues in PyeongChang and Beijing was like "here, hold my beer." I really hope these Siberian winds don't wreak havoc on the schedule like it did with the alpine events 4 years ago
  13. Ski jumping is underway. The first skier up is 17 years ago. Which means he was not yet alive when Simon Ammann won his first gold medal. And this is the first Olympic normal hill with no Noriaki Kasai since 1988. I'm old
  14. I just checked on the SUI-SWE score and was like "nope, I'm good."
  15. They had some snow events at night, including the halfpipe, no doubt for the benefit of American television. I don't see any reason to think we won't see plenty of events at night.
  16. My plan for this evening.. 8pm ET - Watch opening ceremony replay + stream mixed doubles curling After that - women's slopestyle qualifying Check out Canada-Finland 1am - China-USA mixed doubles curling 2:45am - Women's Skiathlon 4am (if I can stay awake) - Biathlon
  17. Seriously. Did no one realize it would be cold in China? Probably wanted the events a little later so they could be at night (and friendlier times in Europe), plus so they don't clash as much with cross-country
  18. Pretty brazen of China to march a Uyghur out there for the cauldron lighting
  19. The speeches seem like they were a lot more drawn out than they normally are
  20. So much for this being a short ceremony. This is running a lot longer than it was supposed to. Not that I'm complaining about that!
  21. Were they supposed to be this good? Like "steal of 3 in the opening end" good? I'm suddenly not feeling so bad the US lost to them
