Fishy as - something has to be changed, one nation winning everything isnt way to attract more athletes and so on. It collides with IOC basic principles. Whole system must be changed to give an equal opportunities. Diving today is based only on a battle for bronze, nothing more. If that situation happens once, nothing strange. If that situation repeats all the time, then something needs to be done or changed.

IOC reduced number of events and athletes in many great sports. Thats a huge issue that new P. must solve. Breakdancing is a total mess, total fiasco. Surfing is mostly boring to watch but i still liked it. Skateboarding doesnt need both street and park, only one event is enough. All mixed events are boring and should be excluded. IOC must influence general public, not vice versa.

True. I always wanted their loss just for the sport reasons. After watching their moves and attutude in the final, i want their loss because they seem to be rude, vulgar, nasty bunch of MoFos. Respect towards opponents is mandatory, but they are probably just too ignorant to understand that basic human rule.

Just watching a replay. Deserved win but this USA team is a disgrace to all normal beings. Their behaviour is shameful, their attitude is pitiful. Day will come when their best team will lose. And that will be a very nice day.

I am glad that justice was done, but IOC and FIG should be ashamed to select this kind of refs/judges/jury. Mistakes they were making were obvious even to untrained eye.

I managed to watch that same dive only because i was watching rhythmic gymnastics and women's handball. He entered the water like a total beginner. Plus, technical errors while in air.

I know about that strategy. Also, China is doing great work in youth sports, even children sports. USA doesnt do that.

I believe that referees or judges are hugely biased in diving. They were giving 10s for more than average dives. Also, i really dont know why other nations cant learn how to enter water without so much splashing. Its also a huge factor why China has so much advantage over other nations.

Table tennis started to be more competitive, Chinese men started losing more regularly, so its interesting to watch. Diving was interesting until Paris as we always had at least one gold medal not be claimed by China. This time dives were boring as we already knew who will win even after 1st dives. IOC must change something because if 8 golds are won by the same country more than once, something is fishy. Who could endanger them? Not so sure. I had hopes in Mexico, Ukraine, GB but they are just to weak. I can bet that with this system we will have 8 golds for China in LA too.

Winning almost dozen medals less than in London or Rio speaks contrairly. But i agree, China doing their job with 100% success doesnt give many options to USA.

Its hard to win or even hope when 4 down when games are almost over. I have no doubt about basketball but gold in volleyball isnt sure at all. Italy was great whole tournament.

Maybe not an authoritarian country but USA uses this medal table in broader sense than just sportive one. I have no doubt about that. Olympic success was and will always be used in many other causes, politic ones too. China is expanding in all sports, USA loses dominance in their traditional strongholds. But i agree, China does know where are their best opportunities and uses that to the max.
