    It could be 3 groups of 4 but everyone advances, the first placed and the best second are ranked 1st-4th and go to quarterfinals, the other 8 teams to playoffs (5th v 12th, ..., 8th v 9th).

    So i guess water polo will switch to a format with 3 groups of 4 and then quarter finals, with no more placement matches. And either the women's or the men's finals will probably be the day after the semis without a rest day.

    i don't understand what you mean, Italy was on the other side of the table, and the final is over already - mine was not a prediction but a statement of the result.
