  1. I don't know, I thought the semi-final went as expected. Semi Final 2, however, will be a doozy to go through, especially when I gotta sacrifice one country for another for prediction purposes
  2. Finally caught up with this thread lol Though it's not among our best efforts, as @Olympian1010 said earlier, we'll bounce back for the open (we do much better in the open contest anyways lol), but I want to congratulate @OlympicIRL for his win, by far my favorite song in this edition and it always makes me happy to see my 12 pointer win, even if my own entry fails (and now I need to know how many of my 12 pointers have gone on to win the contest because I believe that's an exclusive club right there lol) Also, my thanks to several of you who gave us points, especially to @Memo and @KingOfTheRhinos for the 12 points, because honestly, I was worried that goal wouldn't be reached (and it was reached 11/12 contests or something like that), and I'll also add @Function CR Lee @stefanbg @Finnator123 @vinipereira @titicow @Damian to the list of those that had our back. Also, I send congrats to @mrv86 for hosting this contest, though it wasn't easy, especially when you had internet problems, which is always the worst thing that can happen to the host jury, but you stuck it out in the end and made it all possible, and having hosted the last open contest, I could sympathize what you had to go through to make it work. Also, congrats to @heywoodu and @KingOfTheRhinos for your 2nd and 3rd places. Both of you made to my second listen, but Australia made it to my reserves and Netherlands, unfortunately, missed out on it Finally, my personal votes from the US east coast (since I saw while going through the pages that @Olympian1010 made a comment about being on the west coast) 12 -- Ireland 11 -- India 10 -- China 9 -- Bulgaria 8 -- Greece 7 -- Norway 6 -- Germany 5 -- Colombia 4 -- Chile 3 -- Romania 2 -- Spain 1 -- Great Britain R1 -- Mexico R2 -- Algeria R3 -- Australia R4 -- Lithuania Yeah, funny how my top 2 is also the combined top 2
  3. I'm gonna be busy today and tomorrow, because family is coming down here from New York, so when it's our turn @Olympian1010 post our votes
  4. Welp, I knew our entry would be decisive (even until it was chosen because it was such a bad year in music especially in America), but only 1 point? Laughable. Anyway, thanks to @Function CR Lee for that point. And to join the conversation with @dcro and @heywoodu, I don't think me or @Olympian1010 had anything to do with that
  5. Technically next Saturday we'll already be in May (though if it did move to May 4, that's where my first conflict will rise, but it's workable)
  6. Guys, the contest will happen when @mrv86 is good and ready, be it today or next week. But I'm okay with the postponement because I've been sick all week (and finally there is some light at the end of the tunnel. So, @mrv86, give us a date and time when you're 100% ready. We'll wait.
  7. You can try to quote it from the PMs Dan sent you, copy everything (quote box included), then paste into your new PMs, remove the quote box (ctrl+right click, choose remove quote and keep contents), and it should keep the format. It's what I had to do since I had that problem when I hosted last fall. Sorry about the internet, though. Hope they can get it together for you.
  8. I'll be okay with it. Good thing I'll be online right before I leave
  9. I forgot to mention, but I sent in my votes yesterday.
  10. I'll be listening to the songs throughout the week. I'll send in my votes by the end of next weekend
  11. It's my 30th birthday today.
  12. I *could* vouch in @mrv86's defense that the first post hasn't been updated since Sunday.
  13. I'm not sure about it, but I would be down for it if need be.
  14. After much deliberation between @Olympian1010 and myself (and various members of our inner circle) and with about 4 songs in contention, the United States is entering the 2019 Totallympics Annual International Song Contest contest with, I think, perhaps might be our most decisive entry yet, and this song made waves last year as soon as it was released, spurring numerous parodies and the like, so without further ado, here is 35-year-old California-born Georgia-raised singer and rapper (among many things) Donald Glover (who sometimes go by the stage name Childish Gambino) with the song "This is America".
