  1. in the semifinal against ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช They are back to fight for the Olympic spot as is out in quarterfinals. Come one ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช. If they make it, we will a fencing team at the Games for the first time since 1992
  2. It was a surprising performance by Loyola. Honestly, If Beran defeated him in the first round, all would be safe because it was the tight game and Beran looked much better in the match. Anyways, the Olympic ranking seems a bit different from what I counted. @Faramir mentioned that their points are tight to 76. Which actually means that both collected less than the official counting should be. And in this case, Beran had the advantage of the victory at the Grand Prix which is also higher rated than WC. Official media source in says that Beran has qualified for the games. Now, it is a question for FIE, gotta wait for the official statement I guess. Additionally, this would be resolved if our team jumped in the Olympic ranking today. In this case, Beran would go with the team and Loyola would receive the individual quota.
  3. Last tournament for men's Epee in Tbilisi. So according to my counting. The possibility for Europe individual quota is like this: Freilich - 99% probability he gets it Beran - others who purchase him are nearly 20 points behind. If jumps in team ranking, the next in the line might be Bayard Tulen, Vuorinen, Van Nunen, Brinkman are out early and they can't make it. They were the possible Europeans who could get the quota. Pereira, Frazao or Loyola - would have to probably get a medal to possibly grab the spot. But because Beran was in TOP 64 even he lost in the first round to Loyola, there is a low possibility, but you never know. Currently, 2 are in TOP 32, Frazao still waiting for his 1st round game.
  4. Well, I guess, if somebody refuses the Games, I guess China will forward again ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„. Shanghai is a candidate for 2036 but I think they would not refuse to have the opportunity even earlier ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„
  5. I am wondering how would IOC, ITF and the tennis players react if, for example, they released Women's singles draw and first round might be for example Kostyuk vs. Sabalenka . I hope the players will ignore the political part and will fight for their dreams and won't withdraw if they have to play against each other.
  6. Maybe I am too naive at this point. But I think that me and also many other people hope and believe that one day, politics will stop having highly negative impact on the Olympic Games and it will start being the highly peaceful event as it used to be and as Baron Coubertin saw and created such amazing mottos. Olympic Spirit has been with me my entire life and looking at these political nonsenses makes me feel sad. I don't envy those people who pursue their life dream and goals and these things stop them and often they can't do anything about it.
  7. Well, this is all tricky. Saying like this, makes me wonder if tennis players would be interested to file an appeal. We have seen that some tennis players are rather interested in well paid tournaments than Olympics. Also golf players. Of course, not all of them. But having hearings with CAS and trying to resolve this problem might waste their time as they may have to withdraw from some tournaments in order to go to Lausanne personally for the hearing. So I am a bit skeptical whether they are gonna do that. Of course, I'd be happy to see Sabalenka, Rublev, Khachanov at the Games but I am afraid that dealing with this issue might be longer for them that they would expect so I am afraid some of them will drop from this issue and focus on regular tournaments.
  8. Hello, thanks for the heads up. Yeah, the news has been pretty clear. I have texted to Dominika Hronovรก, she says she knows about and the federation does, too. That's why also it was important to grab the 3rd place in that tournament. Despite it was just a "walkover" as her opponent did not show up. But as she also mentioned its not up to her but up to the Federation and Czech NOC. Now, let's wait for their acts, but I guess they will come up with this sooner or later......
  9. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1144165/russian-tennis-still-banned-paris-2024 This is very interesting article ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…. ITF has allowed Russian and Belorussian athletes to compete in Paris. But at the same time, non of them can do that. As one of the most important rule is to represent your country in Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup. And They weren't allowed to participate since 2021. So what now? They will try to apply for an exception? Would it actually work? I am wondering, is ITF playing this game to give the chance to make it to the Games but at the same time, they will find out that they won't make it?
  10. Well, somebody did not take it seriously as Hronovรก should have had opponent for the 3rd place match but her opponent did not appear, she was awarded 3rd place and now waiting if she can get the spot.
  11. Yeah, true. Thanks a lot. Will also be waiting whether Tatiana Minina is allowed. If not, Dominika Hronovรก would probably take that spot as she lost to Minina and finished 3rd in the tournament.
  12. Where did you read about that?
  13. Wait, so you wanna that they can participate doubles as Neutral athletes? So lets say, that mixed doubles pair could easily be for example Aryna Sabalenla and Andrey Rublev ?? ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ
  14. Watch on Olympic channel. I guess some results are already here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_European_Taekwondo_Olympic_Qualification_Tournament All will probably be in the evening in pdf on the official website
  15. I know, they are not streaming on YouTube today. It is on the Olympic channel. But only one feed, they keep switching between two mats, which can actually make you miss the game you actually wanna watch. Was waiting for a match of Adam Jochman and when it was his turn, they switched the feed to the other mat ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… So won't know how it ended and won't see the live result anywhere either ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  16. Anyways, any link where to watch live results? Did not really find any for this event.
  17. Is it only me or website Europe taekwondo is down?
  18. Am afraid Oliveira will be the last game for the Bartl. But sometimes, you never know. Olympic qualification might be high motivating. But de Oliveira has bronze from last year WCH ..... Let's see.
  19. Men's 71kg Miloลก Bartl def. Diogo Semedo - KO in 2nd round
  20. well, she has defeated the Carolina Ferreira, which means the next win should secure her the quota. Or am I mistaken?
  21. Wow, one match from the direct qualification to Paris ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ Com'on, brothers and sister from the East ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช
  22. Men's 71 kg - Round 2 Miloลก Bartl 5:0 Alfred Kotey
  23. Just read that final 2 days will be available on Olympic channel ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  24. Yeah, I found that, but only pdfs. So we gotta wait until the evening for the complete results for each day?
  25. Hey guys, I did not find live results anywhere.โ€ฆ. Do they post online only final results in pdfs?
