  1. Bol is more of a hurdles kind of girl anyway
  2. Tina Šutej with a medal! To think many told her to retire because she had no results. She was a junior world vice champion way back in 2006. But she never really broke out. But in the past two years she won two medals at the age of 33. One in european indoor championship and now at the world indoor championships.
  3. People have been hyping Zrinka up for years now.
  4. I have a feeling Ewa will run bellow 7s in the final
  5. Klemen Bauer (Biathlon) never forget his 4th place in 2010. If he got that medal his whole career might have been different.
  6. Eventful day for our ski jumping. First the ladies with the triple win. Sad end of career for Špela Rogelj, she had a good run, but never reached the top. I'm really bummed that she didn't have a chance to win an Olympic medal, as she would have gotten one for sure in the team event if the ladies had one. Axe the head coach has resigned due to the differences with the federation. This does not bode well ahead of our home world championship next season. I can only speculate, but I wouldn't be surprised if they offered him the same amount of money with no bonus as to what he has achieved with this team. I just hope that whoever replaces him is not the cheapest option like Bertoncelj was for the men. That took the Zajc affair to get rid of him. As for the men. Relatively easy victory in the flying world champs. Wasn't worried for a second that the gold was ours.
  7. Aperently Charlie scored the first british giant slalom points since 1968, this weekend. Also really nice to see Lithuania and Andora getting some points as well.
  8. Hard to swallow, that we only have one racer starting the home race. No real youth prospects either. Future not looking good for us.
  9. Many people and experts tipped Karlsson to be the one to replace Johaug as the best women distance racer, but with how Jonna is performing lately she can take the world cup easily if she focuses on it. Granted, there are no guarantees that her form will hold up through the summer and onto the new season, but right now she's looking spectacular.
  10. Olympic 100m champion Lamont Marcell Jacobs DSQ for false start. It happens to the best of them.
  11. Nasty crash for Meta Hrovat. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but the first signs are that her season might be over.
  12. Jumbo train looks strong. But it just feels like everybody else was caught napping after a hectic pace through the whole day. They didn't even attack, they just rode away with Stybar who then couldn't handle the pace. Roglič has this in the bag, bar a crash.
  13. It's funny because Kobe was a long time teammate with Sasha "the machine" Vujačić. He even learned some slovenian words because of him.
  14. If Nika manages to close the gap down to 100 points, Planica will feel very silly for not bidding to rehost the final from Russia.
  15. Jess Diggins looked poor today. Nepryaeva still has over 200 points in the bank with just 3 races left to go. It's going to be tight.
  16. Monster jump by Ryoyu in the second round.
  17. I sure hope so. This is getting ridiculous now.
  18. Salarich with number 49 just came 4th after the first run.
  19. Mark Lebedew took charge of Slovenia just a few days ago after Alberto Giuliani decided to now renew his contract. There are big expectations of him as the main goal is for this golden generation to qualify for the OG in Paris in two years time. No pressure https://www.cev.eu/articles/volleyball/lebedew-at-the-helm-of-reigning-european-vice-champions-slovenia/
  20. Kraft getting into top form just as the sky flying worlds are coming up.
  21. I hope so. I was also hoping Koyama was going to make the same jump, but he wasn't on the start today. Seems that several japanese athletes have decided to take one more week off after the OG.
