Wait is it your target or the Italian federation’s ? Not that it matters, but that total would be close to best case scenario. There’s only 10 events in the Olympic programme, and while Italy have a lot of medal contenders, Italy doesn’t have a lot of dominant athletes in sailing that are “locks” for the podium (like China in table tennis, going 1-2 in each gender and winning gold in the team events), it would be an amazing outcome and far from impossible but surprising and would require a lot of things to go right. -

the Egyptian is in a class of his own in this category he's expected to dominate the field our guys have done what they were expected to do, if someone beats Tolba, it would be a huge upset -

In the men's event, two medals, but unfortunately first semifinal lost. -

a very long time... last year we got silver in both the individual and team event, 2 years ago we won silver and bronze individually and gold with the team a very, very long drought 🥳 ps there were 2 Italians in the top 8...unfortunately, they are representing

3 medals + a potential medal in Nacra and that's OK for me. The goal should also be to qualify for the Olympics in all disciplines in 2028. -
