India’s most decorated Davis Cup player Leander Paes and the country’s foremost singles star Somdev Devvarman are both set to miss the second round of the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Group I tie against South Korea to be held in Chandigarh from July 15 to 17. The tie, which comes a month prior to the Rio Olympics, will be played on grass — Paes’ favoured surface. But it is learnt that the 42-year-old, who is gunning for his seventh Olympic games, had made himself unavailable for Davis Cup duties at the start of year. Paes last played for India in the dispiriting loss to the Czech Republic last September in the World Group playoff.

Pankaj Malik (47.85s) in 400m Men at 18 years. Good prospect for future. Maymon Poulose (14.02s) in 110m H Men at 19 years. Good competitor for senior to enhance... My hope of tennis is with Sumit Nagal who is steadily increasing his rankings at 18 he is 384 and would be around 365 next week...Hope he reaches 150 by 20 years...He, Yuki and Saketh are the future together with Ramkumar for next Olympics...

Here nobody saying other is bad....Nobody here is favoring Paes nor Mahesh group, problem is groups in the tennis...1 group against Single person...All have valid reasons. But this time I strongly feel Rohan /Paes should be doubles and Mixed should be Rohan/ Sania...

Mixed doubles should be Sania/Bopana and Men's doubles Rohan /Paes if tennis federation forces for both Paes team again we may not get anything...

@Partha_SG I am talking about the scenario, They have been davis Cup partner. If u are not compatible and have issues then top 2 players too cant help each other, that was my review of the situation.

He should but possible of Saketh also...He has also improved and they are the partners in Davis Cup.

Has expected Rohan is at 10th place and has got the chance to select the partner...

Hope we can improve in days to come and send the relay team..
