  1. I'm going for Akito, Klapfer, Frenzel, Hirvonen, in that order.
  2. Him too Actually with 4 nations fighting for the medals (in a normal situation), I'm already happy anyway.
  3. Considering the past few weeks that would be far from undeserved in any case
  4. Good thing is women's biathlon will now be the only medal event going on at that time, so no overlap with (possibly) the end of speed skating and the entire first run in doubles luge
  5. Klapfer and maybe Hirvonen could fight for it as well, but personally I'd say Watabe vs Frenzel for gold and Klapfer vs Hirvonen for bronze. Which is rather good news, 4 different nations bringing the 4 main medal candidates.
  6. Akito vs Frenzel for gold
  7. Awful day for the Norwegians so far, wow.
  8. Also, it's confirmed.
  9. Better than letting it go through with a ton of wind.
  10. But with 'here' I meant Totallympics, and most members here aren't from main English speaking countries
  11. Nordic combined isn't the most alive sport ever here is it? And people say speed skating has little interest....
  12. That's not so good for Jasper.
  13. Good start to the competition.
  14. It looks like Rydzek has finally found his mojo on the jump.
  15. Interesting to see Mika Picin is doing the commentary (or co-commentary? or the role as expert?) for biathlon and XC on SporTV It might be a paid channel so you'd sort of expect it, but I still like seeing how much they are showing of the Winter Olympics....pretty much all (Korean) day and even with a studio (where there's talk about more sports than on Dutch TV), that's nice
  16. Really not that bad at all actually, and definitely developing
  17. Of course I know that's possible, but the chance is so tiny. Just the possibility of having extreme luck several times in a row means Brazil has a theoretical medal chance, whereas Belgium actually has a chance to get a medal on merit.
  18. They have a rather realistic chance there to at least significantly reduce the gap to the extended top of the world within the next 1-2 Olympic cycles, at the very least with 1 or 2 athletes. Pedro Causil's performances are hopeful, it'd be nice if more athletes of that kind of level follow. Very nice program there by coach Desly Hill
  19. Which is why I was looking forward to this final so much, but it was a tiny bit disappointing
  20. Too bad, I much preferred Hirano to win, but alright, this was awesome
  21. Controversy about the British suits, which have some sort of 'spoilers' built into and, and a sort of coating over it. There has been protest against it from several nations, because it's apparently rather simple as to what is allowed: nothing. No coating, no 'spoilers' under the suit, nothing. Let's see if IBSF decides to do something...probably not, but alright.
