  1. And when will this be decided? After all, Chamizo and other athletes need to know how to plan training, etc. I don't believe in excluding Russians from combat sports: wrestling/judo, etc. Their federation has great connections in this federation and will not give up. They won't boycott themselves either. Where they wanted to boycott, they did not take part in qualifications, e.g. fencing or rowing. The only hope is that the wrestling federation, together with the IOC, will grant Chamizo a wild card, although they may now feel that they have already done the Italians a favor in promoting Russo.
  2. How do you manage to have such strong girls? Are there wrestling lessons in your schools, or do children practice them in clubs?
  3. Now imagine what would happen if Liuzzi somehow won the OQ and put on a show like she did today in Paris in front of a large audience in our country who don't normally follow wrestling. It would be a laughing stock for the entire country
  4. Stadnik in past time was a great, but she's old and has been losing a lot lately. Our competitor had no right to lose to her in such a way as if a little girl was fighting an adult champion. This fight is a joke and I have to watch it again
  5. Thanks but our problem is serious. Russo has a lot of talent and that's why she saved herself but without a better coaching staff her talent will be wasted. When you look at the differences between the old Stadnik and Liuzzi, it's sad to see them. I think we need a good coaching staff from Eastern Europe, e.g. maybe Ukraine/Georgia? We have numerous and strong judo and boxing teams and in wrestling our girls look like children compared to their friends from Eastern and Southern Europe. Only great talents like Russo are able to break our powerlessness.
  6. Yes, Russo has potential but she is young. However, such Liuzzi, I'm sorry, but she will never even be solid wrestler.
  7. If Ukraine wasn't there, maybe, but unfortunately it will be a similar fight to Liuzzi from Stadnik. For our girls, such narrow QO are deadly.
  8. Problems are, we're left with O in wrestling for the first time in 100 years. And no one will remember that our not very talented girls fought nicely. The problem is that for us the ultimate dream is for one competitor to advance to the Olympic Games in 18 events...
  9. Two, if we can have good girls in judo, why are we so low in wrestling? German women know how to fight.
  10. Here only Chamizo could get QO. For our women, advancing to this stage is a great success.
  11. Conyedo with his current form would have no chance of qualifying from the repechage. He hasn't shown anything this year.
  12. Poland has several wrestlers at a good level and something will come to them. If someone has 1 Chamizo at a later age, with bad luck no one else will work for him. However, Poland and Germany show that you do not need to neutralize several people to qualify for the Olympics in wrestling.
  13. They won't pretend to be a saint, because Chamizo also comes from Cuba but the fact is that we have neglected this sport recently. We have the same federation with judo, wrestling and karate. There is progress in judo but in wrestling it is getting worse and worse. Germany shows that you can rely on domestic fighters and qualify for the Olympics.
  14. I will drink champagne until the morning if one of the Italians wins but I am a realist and I know that the chances are close to 0. If Aurora Russo were 2-3 years older, so maybe but not today
  15. These are the rules and you have to accept to them, so I congratulate Greece. In the free categories 50% of people from the former Ukrainian SSR will soon start. You can send your fighter and lose in the 1st round or do what others do and fight for the quota * USSR, not Ukrainian of course. I`m sorry.
  16. In our team, Chamizo was the only one fighting for something, Honis fought bravely against the Pole + good performances of the women's team. It's sad to see Conyedo - he can't cope at this weight at all. We now only have 1 wrestler who could actually fight for QO here. He was unlucky - yes, but if we had 3-4 people like him, a QO would have come by. I don't understand why we didn't think of bringing in a few people from the Caucasus and those regions 1-2 years ago. Then there would be some chance of qualifying, because sending Conyedo or the classics in this form made no sense.
  17. Chamizo should not start here and continue to make noise, maybe they would give him a wild card. Now, that doesn't make sense anymore. Italy is 99% sure they won't have a single wrestler in Paris, so the Baku scandal should be the wild card. These qualifications are just terrible and very unlucky for him.
  18. You can see he was out of shape here. Apparently he hasn't recovered from Baku. From the beginning today he was simply weak and should not have started here.
  19. If one of our girls doesn't perform a miracle today, we're left with 0 QO in wrestling. For the 1st time in 100 years. I know Chamizo was cheated, but that doesn't justify our pathetic level. You can't count on just one person for 10 years, who is getting older. Two, these qualifications are terrible. Fewer and fewer limits, more and more competition in the world + half of the countries naturalize people from the Caucasus.
