Canada cannot count on Jamal Murry to be healthy and show up or that Andrew Wiggins actually cares enough to show up. Canada does not have anyone to replace the key players on their roster. Does Canada have a replacement for Shai Gilgeous- Alexander, I think not. In addition, your basketball talent pipeline has DRIED up. For a few years Team Can- ada was ranked second or third in the FIBA Boys Rankings. RJ Barrett led Canada to a FIBA U19 Boys Gold Medal in 2017. The next U19 Boys Medal was a Bronze in 2021. Since 2021, Canada has fallen all the way to NINTH. In stark contrast, Team Canada has GAINED two spots to go from 5th to 3rd in the FIBA Girls Rankings. -
Extremely Likely - USA Woman's Basketball An Australian stating Team USA is ONLY "Extremely Likely" to win a Gold Medal is a real knee slapper. I am not going to say we are a "LOCK". However, as long as our key players show up HEALTHY and we play OUR game, we will not just win, we will DESTROY the competition. As for Australia, the Opals are Extremely Likely to finish FOURTH or lower. Currently FIBA has the Opals ranked 3rd in the world. However, in Brazil, did the Opals look like the third best team in the world? In Paris Spain can beat the Opals, Belgium should/will beat them, China should/will beat them, and if France play in Paris like they did against China in China, they will DESTROY the Opals. Why are the Opals not going to win a medal? They do not have the horses or the jockey. Your front line is OLD & decrepit. The ONLY forward you have who is actually good is Ezi Magbegor. She is the only player that the COE has produced since 2016. This is my projected frontline. 1. Brittney Griner No: 15 POS: C HGT: 6-9 Current Age: 32 At worst, top 8-10 player in the world 2. Aliyah Boston No: 16 POS: C HGT: 6-5 Current Age: 21 3. A'ja Wilson No: 9 POS: PF HGT: 6-5 Current Age: 26 Best player in the world 4. Breanna Stewart No: 10 POS: F/PF HGT: 6-4 Current Age: 28 At worst, top 5 player in the world 5. Napheesa Collier No:14 POS: SF HGT: 6-1 Current Age: 27 At worst, top 6-8 player in the world 6. Rhyne Howard - No: 12 POS: SG/SF, HGT: 6-2 Current Age: 23 The Opals do not have any guards, point or shooting. And if you really believe that either Jade MELBOURNE or Isobel BORLASE will EVER be world class is laughable. Jade is an WNBA end of the bench towel waver. What exactly did Melbourne or Borlase do in Brazil? Not much. Now lets compare these two to what Rhyne Howard did in Antwerp. These are the stats from her last game. https://www.fiba.basketball/oqtwomen/belgium/2024/game/1102/Senegal-USA Rhyne Howard is a 23-year old American professional basketball player who plays at the Small Forward or Shooting Guard position for the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA. She is 6 feet 2 inches (188cm) tall, weighs 175 pounds (79kg), and has a wingspan of 6 feet 6 inches (198cm). I have a question for Timezone, can either Melbourne or Borlase guard Rhyne one on one? Can Melbourne or Borlase play two positons? Can Isobel BORLASE play as a small forward or shooting guard? I say she can play as a forward or shooting guard in AUSTRALIA. But if you really believe that she can play both positions in the WNBA, Olympics, or World Cup you will be BITTERLY disapointed. Finally, the Opals do not have the jockey. Sandy Brondello is at best "competent", but no one thinks of her as World Class. The Opals last podium finish was in 2012. I predict that the Opals will fail for the third consecutive time to finish on the podium. Your last Olympic final was in 2008. Why? Lauren Jackson, the Opals ONLY truly world class player. For Australian Basketball she was/is an ANOMALY or a singularity.

IF USA Basketball decides to launch the Caitlin Clark ICBM on Paris, please tell me, WHO on your team will/can guard her? Team USA will more than likely use her as a shooting guard. And before anyone gets the idea she is a shoot first point guard. She can pass, run/start the break, and take it to the rack. She also has a mid-range game and can operate in the key. Pot Three and Pot Four Teams have to HOPE to avoid the Death Group and the Team USA Group. The 1st and 2nd placed teams in each group advances to the Qtrs. The last two teams to advance to the Qtrs. are determined by the best remaining record for teams 7th & 8th. After group play, the remaining eight teams will be redrawn to determine the QF pairings. The Team with the best competition record [seed 1] will play against the team with the worst competition record [seed 8]. Seed 2 will play against seed 7, seed 3 will play against seed 6, Seed 4 will play against seed 5. Serbia defeated China and that earned them a date with Team USA in the Semis. Pot 2 Spain - Canada - Belgium Pot 3 France - Japan - Serbia Pot 4 Puerto Rico - Nigeria - Germany -

I have a question for: Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Serbia, & Spain. Elizabeth Balogun (NGR) 3 9.0 2.0 4.7 6 14 42.9 Sabrina Ionescu (USA) 3 7.3 2.0 4.7 6 14 42.9 USA Basketball can and SHOULD add Caitlin Clark to the roster Clark's career average from the 3-point range may indeed be just over 38%, but her average distance during the 2022-2023 season was 25 feet, 11 inches — about 4 feet farther out than the men's and women's 3-point line. Three-point shots made 25 feet and out have been affectionately dubbed "logo 3s." The NBA has a 22-foot 3-point line in the corners and a 23-foot, 9-inch line elsewhere. The WNBA and the international game plays with a 20-foot, 6-inch line. No female basketball player in the WORLD has the accuracy @ range that Caitlin Clark has. Not only that, she has a mid-range game & can put the ball on the floor and take it to the rack. The FIBA half court is 45.9318 feet long. That means as soon as Caitlin has crossed the half court line, whether she has the ball or not, someone has to pick her up on defense. She is a true point guard that can also play as a shooting guard. She cannot be doubled. Why? Do you really think that your other 3 players can guard Aja Wilson & Brittney Griner in the high/low post, with Napheesa Collier & Rhyne Howard floating on either side of the key? Caitlin Clark is also VERY effective starting or scoring on the break. She is an excellent passer that can carry a team OR feed her team mates. -

Satou Sabally was born in NYC. had her parents stayed in the U.S. she would have been eligible to play for Team USA. However, I doubt that she would have ever been invited to a Team USA camp, much less earn a Team USA roster spot for the Olympics or World Cup. There is a reason this is Germany's FIRST ever Olympics for the German Women's National Team in Basketball. The German Women's National Team has a FIBA ranking of 25th. Which means even if you finish DEAD last, your team "should" move up in the rankings. However, do not expect too much from your team. Your team finished a -24 in your group. France finished a +135, we finished a +118, Australia a +40, & Japan +8. What do these four players have in common: Samantha WHITCOMB, Yvonne ANDERSON, Megan GUSTAFSON, & Gabby WILLIAMS? -

Their Paris dreams were in shreds when Hungary went up by 22 points against Spain, before [Spain] came back in a near miracle to win by a point and send Canada through. Kayla Alexander was superb with her tournament double-double and it's just as well. Semi-Finalists at the Women's World Cup only 18 months ago, Canada dodged a bullet. They will be better in Paris with Kia Nurse back in the mix and Natalia Achonwa fitter and stronger. But their perimeter play needs an upgrade and they so need a dominant ball-handler. Do you SERIOUSLY believe that Victor Lapena is RESPONSIBLE for the 30 point BEATDOWN Team Canada suffered at the hands of the Opals? You are FULL of excuses and have yet to make the simple admission; Team Canada is not a legitimate world class team that can Medal in the Olympics or the FIBA World Cup for Women. -

considering our women’s basketball team ALWAYS underperforms during the Olympics. Why is that the case? Inferior coaching of INFERIOR players? Plus, we were out without two somewhat key players in Cassandra Prosper and Kia Nurse, not to mention the potential inclusion of Aaliyah Edwards. When a national team has to rely on a minor club player and TWO college players, you have a SERIOUS talent deficit. Kia Nurse: A minor club player Cassandra Prosper: Is at best, the THIRD best player on her team. Aaliyah Edwards: Is the SECOND best player on her team. For some reason you did not include Toby FOURNIER? https://www.fiba.basketball/news/women-s-olympic-basketball-tournament-paris-2024-smart-power-rankings-volume-2 Right now I’d put Belgium, France, Spain, China, Japan, United States, Australia above them, but behind United States there’s not that much of a gap between the other 5-6 countries and Canada. WRONG!!! Because the 1950 WIN by Uruguay over Brazil is the BIGGEST upset in a "FINAL". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uruguay_v_Brazil_(1950_FIFA_World_Cup) Unlike in other editions of the tournament, which conclude with a one-off final, the 1950 winner was determined by a final group stage, where four teams played in a round-robin format. With Brazil topping the group, one point ahead of Uruguay going into the final round of matches, Uruguay needed a win while Brazil needed only to avoid defeat to become the world champions; neither of the other two teams, Spain and Sweden, could finish first. The match is often regarded as the de facto final of the 1950 World Cup. -

I can tell you right now Canada might not qualify for the 2024 Olympic Women's Basketball Tournament. And they most certainly will not medal at the 2024 Olympics. Canada's roster does not have ONE WNBA All-Star, much less a world class player. Canada has a good jockey {Victor LaPena} riding an old sway- back horse destined for the GLUE factory.
