  1. are the champion of IHF Emerging Nations Championship 2025 beating the home team 29-25 in an epic game. still long journey to compete with top teams but it's very promising start to win our first title.
  2. Team GB will face in the final of IHF Emerging Nations Championship after beating (the team who keep getting boosted before LA 2028) 29-25 It's not easy to beat but so far this is the best performance for in this championship.
  3. Many thanks mate the part I have missed earlier is the ranking points awarded to athletes based on their performance in the seeding round not the direct elimination round nor the ranking round during qualification The FWR now is matching the results from the seeding round
  4. the first fencing world ranking (FWR) announced, but I tried to understand how the ranking is calculated but I failed ..any explanation would be great. | Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM)
  5. Weightlifting has been added to the official program for the first time.
  6. few observations on the first major tournament: live score board (on screen) needs some improvements such as: the fencing piste colours are consistently wrong between the scoreboard and real game (the red and green colours) shooting screen in combined phase is very bad, time is stuck or continue even when the player finished, also the green (good shot dots) are not always working at the beginning I didn't like the score board on the left hand side but later I got used to it which is not bad in my opinion now. showing the the round in fencing will be beneficial to understand is it QF, R 16 ..etc and expect the score accordingly the fencing screen in the left hand side is confusing (location of the score compared to name is not very clear) and it's more confusing when you notice that the colour is wrongly switched (see first point) Obstacles is fun to watch (I wasn't expecting that) and young athletes are taking it to very high leve,. also surprised with some good actions from experienced athletes such as Belaud, Shabaan & Gulyas. Equestrian was not fair but more thrilling, here Obstacles is more fair and not boring. Personally, I liked Equestrian more but I can understand why obstacles is more favourable for some others. new scoring of fencing is better, even difference in points was adjusted to become more close to swimming weight (main deciders now are obstacles and combined). waiting Fencing World Ranking list to know how does it work and how they calculate this new ranking.
  7. Men Individual results Gold - Cicinelli Silver - Koleszar Bronze- Shabaan
  8. Women Individual results Gold - Khalil Silver - Hureyeva Bronze- Malashenoka
  9. Nice to see new names on the podium.. obstacles will boost the confidence of the new generation WC women results: Gold - Khalil Silver - Hureyeva Bronze- Malashenoka
  10. The UIPM fencing format has been changed starting from the ongoing world cup season in qualification: the format is the same conventional one when the player play a one touch game against the opponent in his group but starting from semifinal there will be a seeding round (with no actual points) and based on the seeding order a knockout stage will start with 1 minute round and whoever gets 5 points wins (or the leader after 1 minute finish) also the double touch are counted similar to conventional Epee still not very clear if Olympics will start from seeding or start with normal point round in semi and seeding only in final
  11. The familiar names in men competition are: Shabaan & Moataz Mohamed Bereczki, Koleszar and Tamas Morcia and surprisingly Valentine Belaud Tovkai Micheli and Cicinelli Maruk Cicinelli is the best ranked athlete in Paris Olympics who participate in this tournament (he finished 5th)
  12. Only live scoring on UIPM App & paid subscription on UIPM TV (starting from Semi-Final)
  13. the headlines should be " Kenyan sprinter caught with no doping offense and banned for life)
  14. the kick start of the UIPM season is today with first World Cup in the first season with Obstacles and no more Equestrian competition, therefore a lot of familiar names are not participating. The familiar names in women competition are: Malak Ismail & the 14 yrs old Farida Khalil Michelle Gulyas, Blanka Guzi, Rita Erdos & Blanka Bauer Rebecca Castaudi Mariya Gnedtchik most of the remaining names are U 19 or just participating in major tournaments for the first time. some main countries are not participating (in women competition) in this run such as Hopefully this would be a good start of the season for MP fans.
  15. Sarah Hildebrandt Women 50 kg Wrestler announced retirement. Medal records in Olympics and Wch: 1 Gold (Paris 2024) and 1 bronze (Tokyo 2020) in Olympic games 2 silver & 2 bronze in world championships. This is the 2nd athlete in WW 50kg category to announce retirement within 2 weeks time.
  16. I didn't get why athletes are not playing specially in Judo, if their feet are not on the mat and are not fighting against different schools how would they improve and keep the form.

  19. My conclusion for this tournament: Best team Exceptional performance Worst performance Weak teams who did better than expected unlucky teams
  20. World championship concluded and as expected is the world champion beating in the final 32-26
  21. VS 35-34, dramatic win for with a last second save.. the drama started when Richardson scored a penalty for giving them the lead with only 20 seconds to go smart tactic from coach during the timeout allowed the team to create a gap for the right winger Areia who was unlucky but also was facing the smart french GK Bolzinger who open the far angle and blocked it at the end giving a save deserved Bronze medal technically the shot from the wing can be saved but I think Areia lost his technique when he didn’t catch the pass correctly then his focus was more on his steps and not to step on the line instead of looking at the goal.. anyway .. deserved great appreciation in this tournament and as a more experienced team deserved the bronze medal

  23. Semifinal 2 VS 40-27, first half was really good from (taking into consideration they are facing the best team in the world).. the game was close but Managed to win by 4 goals (20-16) .. 2nd half was superb from the specially the Fantastic Four (Gidsel, Nilsen, Rasmus and Pytlick) couldn’t beat the concrete defence and keeper and couldn’t stop Gidsel’s right left right three steps good tournament for But they were unlucky to face the amazing Team in the semifinal 3rd position game VS Final: VS
  24. Semifinal 1 result vs 31-28 very tense and physical game (with a lot of simulation).. started the game strong and extended their lead to 9 goals sometimes.. had a very poor performance specially from the GKs congratulations fir Semifinal 2 VS
  25. Yesterday results: VS 33-21, team continued their unbeaten record (35 game without losing in WCh since 2017) the game started for and score reached 10-3 after 15 min, better performance from team led to closing the gap to 15-12 by half time, the 2nd half had a margin favor for till minute 40 when the Danish team start scoring 8 consecutive goals without response, 12 minutes until Brazil scored again, during that blackout time GK Martins did really well but his team mates were not able to break the great wall of Nielsen. hard luck for and wish they continue such great performance in next tournaments. VS 31-30, the most improved and best performer so far (except for sure) had a great night yesterday. to get the summary of the game, were playing GK Wolff who made 21 saves in the game !! 21 !!! I believe at least 17-18 of them were one on one. on the other hand both GKs did well saving 12 shots (Marques saved 7 while Capdeville saved 5). the game started with leading till end of first hal 13-9 .. in second half ..ah ..sorry ..I will say Wolff not ...Wolff in 2nd half managed to close the gap and even lead by 2 goals, but Portela and Francisco Costa were able to finish the time draw 26-26. the extra time started with heading again thanks to :Francisco Costa and Martim Costa .. Knorr and Zerbe managed to draw for the team Wolff ... but 4 seconds before the end Martim Costa scored the golden goal to secure the first ever semifinal spot in a well deserved game with huge frustration from Wolff against his team mates. in 2019 U21 team finished 4th in WCh ( finished 3rd in the same tournament) in the same year U 19 team finished 4th too in Wch ( won that tournament) now in the semi final with amazing performance and mix of mostly young players and few experienced. Semi Final Games: 30th of Jan VS 31st of Jan VS
