  1. Thank you so much for your table!!! I'm checking my own and have a couple of questions. Regarding the K2 boats that have athletes also in K4 I don't think they are elegible, you can't qualify half a boat. So in the K2 male would qualify: and on the K1 male would qualify: + I don't understand why Argentina has a quota on this table - there are 6 quotas for the K1 plus the French quota, right? I guess it has to do with the 40 + 11 + 8 but i'm not sure what does that mean. thank you so much
  2. If France wins, the olympic quota will go to the OQT, so I imagine it would be the same thing? or could it go to the UK?
  3. Yeah, but we also have to remmeber that the OQD are made by the specific federations and sometimes they leave things that may be obvious to them. I wonder if we had this loophole on the 2020 or previous documents by UCI? I'm kind of new into this area.
  4. Out of curiosity what would be your take for the man's freestyle? Mine would be Olympic Qualifier Series Logan MARTIN NAKAMURA Rimu Anthony JEANJEAN KIERAN REILLY (but this sixth spot I guess could go to or other countries out of the radar 2022 World Champ Quotas 2 or 2023 World Champ Quotas possibly reallocated to reallocated to chance would be if GBR gets two spots via OQS (or if Gustavo Bala Loka wins directly a quota via OQS)
  5. I agree with you. I think that people from Olympics.com have inside access to question anything and to be fair all Martin's texts are very much similar to the documents even in those gray areas. I have saved all previous versions and just realized that they changed this section to explicity remove any impeditions from an NOC to have a second quota by the 2023 Worlds. But at the same time, it is still not clear if the same athlete can obtain 2 quotas for its country, which is crazy but... I guess on the male's side, Logan Smith for instance would probably get a second quota for Australia via 2023 WC even if he qualifies through the OQS or by continental quota via 2022 Worlds. Version from 19 August 2022 (and probably the one used by Marta Martin): Version from January 2023:
  6. We have to remember that Australia will have a quota - probably in 2022 but one never know.
  7. South Africa has historically turned down continental quotas on sports in which their athletes are not world level, so hoping this would be the case... I do like the idea for this qualification process, but I think either the OQS should have come before or they would be last in priority... But I also struggle to understand if someone can win 2 quotas. I would vote no because it does not make any sense, but...
  8. Thank you very much Josh! Lucas Carvalho (BRA) also ran under the OQT on the 400m semifinals and he just cruised on the final to save for the Worlds!
  9. And now Greece appears to have found a 3rd good athlete, let's see if they could jump on the team rankings.
  10. I don't think a rule should be changed because of an exception. Having said that I could see a place for a country with 1 individual quota on the rankings trying a 2nd quota on the OQT. Olympic Games always try to have more countries involved and not necessarily having the best from the best. And as a Brazilian I still hate FIE for just giving 1 quota for the Americas and 2 for Asia hahaha perhaps could be 6 quotas overall from 4 continents. or 2 from each continent.
  11. Thanks a lot Josh as alwasy!! I just missed 2 names from the list: Samuel FIREWU (ethiopia) on the 3000m steepchase and Julien ALFRED (on 200m, she already had on 100m). At least i did not have them on my sheets as of yet! thanks
  12. The following Russian athletes (yeah, Russians!) got Olympic quota on 20km Race Walking in the following events. Nobody knows if they will be in Paris 2024, or how, but if they managed to be elegible I guess those times will count. They are found on World Athletics, so I guess it's ok with them. Haven't checked other events, just Race Walking National Race Walking Competitions, Slava Metreveli Stadium, Sochi - U23 Events February 13, 2023 Women's 20km Elvira CHEPAREVA, Reykhan KAGRAMANOVA, Anastasiya KOLCHINA Russian Race Walking Championships, Saransk February 20, 2023 Men's 20km Vasiliy MIZINOV, Anton KURBATOV

  15. Hey Josh, I thinkg Lanae-Tava THOMAS, from USA, got under the OQT on this event as well!
  16. Thank you very much for this amazing work!!! I'm not sure if you missed him or if I missed a previous Olympic qualification from him, but I don't see the Kenynan Benjamin KIGEN from 3000m steeplechase!!
  17. Sorry for replying a bit late, but I wouldn't mind if one person "creates" a post and keeps on updatingit during the event, as long as it's clear that it's a work in progress. Anyway I agree that one post per event is better!
  18. Someone on wikipedia included Damascus and Aleppo as hosts for the Asian qualifiers, but without any source. Does anyone know anything about this? thanks!
  19. I was wondering why Inside the Games keep calling them the first breakers to qualify for an Olympic Games. Do they totally ignore the African qualifier that happened earlier this month or is there any chance those quotas will be realocated?
  20. Guys, not sure if this is the best place to ask, but just to make sure: I saw on wikipedia and other places that the European Games, as well as Asian Games and Pan-American Championships will distribute quota for the team event. I think the pdf document is very unclear because it talks about "Continental Games" (those above), "continental olympic qualifier" and "Continental championships" which can be both of them. This particular part indicates to me that the Continental qualifier (in 2024) will qualify for team and the Continental Games will qualify only for mixed doubles and individuals. what are your thoughts on that? thanks!
  21. Thank you so much!! Yeah, Épée. tristan szapary face here is priceless, poor teammates!
  22. If I'm not mistaken, they are brothers expect for Leopoldo who is their cousin. By the way anyone have any idea on what happened to the US Foil team today? they were DSQ on semi and lost all points and rankings!
  23. Actually, the quota will go to Universality.
  24. If I understood right, you considered 60 athletes qualified for the Olympics, but the correct number is 59, right? the 60th would come from Universality.
  25. Finally back to Totallympics! yey I've checked the Olympic Rankings this week to figure out who would be qualified (hoping this is the right place to post it) On the male side, the last one would be a New Zealand athlete at 281! On the female side, the last qualified would be a golfer from Malasya at 372. USA would have 7 spots (only 1 missing from women's side), followed by Korea at 5. Here is the link with all the qualified (i've tried to paste here with the flags, but it went crazy)
