  1. Ok had some break to breath and calm down that crazy frustration and now with calmer emotions I have to repeat and evaluate once again how impressive is this generation 04-05. Maybe our best ever. Seriously I NEVER saw Slovakia dominate aginst Sweden. Never, even during our golden era., This is a incredible bunch of prospects we have here, majority of them can still play the U20 another 2 editions. And it is also in matches like tonight they can be schooled even more. Never in my life I thought I would read something like this on the IIHF site after game against Sweden Looking forward ow many of this team will shine in the future a couple of them could be already our NT leaders in Cortina
  2. Our newspapers even do not know what to say Unbelievable match. Slovaks with second loss. We did not score a single goal to Sweden from almost 50 shots Shots on goal tonight : 48-27 !!! Final score 0-3

There obviously change in the format of the tournament you can find in post 2 of this thread There will be no match for Relegation, so both teams who will end in 5th places of their respective preliminary round groups will be ranked 9th and 10th according their results from preliminaty round. Updated format:
  17. Absolutely no idea, which format you need to have a 11 team tournament They want to return to 10 team tourney the next year 2024 so 2 teams will have to be relegated next year I assume, but how about the format ? Just hope they are not going to implement some pre-round and main round with top seeded nations or something like that... Meanwhile already 3-0 against

The IIHF will start discussions concerning the logistical implementation of hosting 11 teams at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship in Novosibirsk and Omsk, Russia with the organizing committee. 23. So 9 of the 10 teams official rosters are known and registered. The only missing one is They received a special exception and can announce their final 25 roster tomorrow before the start of the tournament. The reason is obvious. Covid... Copy/paste from the Ice Hockey federation web Due to a positive Covid test result, the entire Swiss U20 national team has been in quarantine since Thursday. The only World Cchampionship preparation game against the Czech Republic had to be canceled. On Christmas Day, the team was able to end the quarantine and start training again. The final World Championship squad will be announced on Sunday, December 26th. A player from the Swiss U20 national team has been tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, December 23. The entire team then had to go into quarantine, which is why Switzerland's only World Cup preparatory game against the Czech Republic, scheduled for Thursday, could not take place. Head coach Marco Bayer's team was able to leave the quarantine on Christmas Day, December 25th, and resume training. Two players remain in isolation.
