  11. First athletics session of the games over. and it was a very nice start Bit sad for Gabika Gajanová who finished 1st nonqualified in the W 800m, also that small colision with the girl maybe somehow had the impact on it since she was trying to accelerate right before the incident However, 25th place at the olympics is still a very nice result for our young debutant. and now on the other night sports
  12. Sabbatini with 2 another bogeys today, but still able to save the day just like yesterday. All in all, pretty nice effort from Rory so far.

  14. Well, it could be better I guess The end od the M C1 canoe slalom medal streak of the country (never missed the podium at the previous olympics since the first participation as new country in Atlanta 1996) still kinda hurts a lot. But was cured yesterday with that trap gold. Also now with more and more athletes and other team staff members being allowed to the stands also the atmosphere is certainly more enjoyable than during the first days.

  22. and mandatory quick fun fact post about the medal. Was the 3rd Olympic games for Zuzana and 3rd medal. Beijing Silver, London Silver, She skipped Rio because of pregnancy even if she was our first qualified athlete for the games if I remember correctly, now she is back and won that incredible gold. This was the 10th Gold medal from Summer Olympic Games in history since the independence. Only the 2nd Gold medal from any other sport than Canoeing Slalom. (Funny both golds are also the last two golds Slovak athletes won). (Toth in 50km race walk in Rio and today Zuzana in W Trap) Zuzana is also only the 2nd Slovak female olympic champion (from Summer Olympics) after Kaliská two times olympic champion in Canoeing Slalom W K1 in athens & Beijing. 29th Medal overall from SOG (10-12-7) 18 of them are from Canoeing Slalom 8-6-4, 6th medal from Shooting, 1st gold obviously (1-2-3) Zuzana herself won the half of them, the gold and both silvers.
