Summary of Day 7 at India at RIO 2016 Boxing: Down to earth, Soft spoken - Vikas Krishan Yadav Stormed to Quarterfinals, he is one win away from Medal. But here after competition will be tough. Fingers Crossed. Tennis Mixed Doubles - Sania / Bopanna moved to semi final. One win in two matches will ensure the Medal from them Archery Men Individual - Atanu Das lost to Korean after Nail biting finish. if score of 28 -30 -27 -27-28. Make some one loose Then I can write it on paper in give that no body in whole world would won that match against Korean Its not his day. Thats all. Whole Archery Team fails to win medal this time too. Shooting - our Team Continue to disappoint ` 50 m rifle prone - Gagan Narang & Chain Singh fails to Qualify in 50m Rifle Prone. Till last round Gagan was in 7th Position but Again last round cost him falls to 14th in Qualification. 25 m rapid fire pistol - Gurpreet Singh was at 10th Position after Day 1 Qualification. In Same Even last olympics Vijay Kumar Won Silver medal for us. Skeet - Mairaj Ahmad Khan - Stands at 10th Position after Day 1 Qualification. Badminton Both Mens and Women Doubles team out of Olympics after losing to respective matched. But Hard fought by them. Mens Singles - Srikanth Kidambi - Won the first Match against Mexican. Mens Hockey - India made draw against Canada - 2-2 Golf - Shiv Chawrasia & Anirban Lahiri at 27th & 50th position after Round 2 Athletics Not good show by Indians as they are struggling a lot. Worth Mentioning on Manish Singh who completed 13th in 20Km walk. All other fails to Shine today

Is Sport like Swimming is So difficult .. there are 34 gold medals .. But we hardly participate .. We should involve more in this kind of sports..

Oh Surprise .. I was not aware of it. So no body can hold responsible for performance . .then how we will ensure the things are better than previous Olympics after 4 yrs? My Question is not only about Shooting .. Its for all our favorite Sports like shooting , Archery, Wrestling etc..

I agree One more question.. Just Hypothetical, Suppose we are ending up with out any medal in Shooting after send 13 member team. How govt will ensure federation is responsible for it. And what kind of changed they will make in federation to make this sports better.. I just saw your posting in My mornining .. Just Curious to know

he is in 11th Position now .. Only top 6 will Qualify .. KHAN Mairaj Ahmad in 10th Position.. Again last series cost them both..

We are not expecting to bring back 13 medals in Shooting .. because 13 of them participating .. but Just asking for 1 or 2 which we are getting regularly from Athens 2004.. if we miss the medal this time .. then we will end up with no medals in shooting after 16 years.. Why every time we need to depend on Gagan or Abhinav ... See Heena achieved lot in Shooting .. Even Manavjit Singh Sandhu too World champion and World cup winner etc , I know abt this sport .. when we need lot of control, need to hold the nerve.. but definitely we can achieve in Olympics So far only Abhinav, Jitu & Gagan (Considering came back from Injury) is only commendable .. I am disappointed with scores of other rather than medal ..

Really Boxing is ruined by AIBA..If this trend continues .. Kid will not continue to choose boxing Even in Men's category we have just 3

Badminton Women singles - Saina Nehwal & P. V. Sindhu Won their first round inStyle Womens Doubles - Jwala Gutta & Ashwini Ponnappa lost their first round against Japanese team Mens Doubles - little known Manu Attri & B. Sumeeth Reddy lost their first round after hard fought against Second seeded Indonesian Pair Men's Hockey India lost higher ranked Dutch team by 2-1. But good news is we have booked our Quarterfinals berth. Boxing Star Kid Shiva Thapa lost to current Olympic champion in Men's bantamweight after giving good fight. Blame corrupt AIBA for not getting medal in this category. Archery Both Bombayla Devi & Deepika Kumari lost in pre-quarter finals. Third Straight Olympics, Higher ranked Indian women Archery team fails to win any medal. I feel sorry for them as they have all possible medals with them expect Olympic medal, again need to wait for 4 more years. Golf - Indian Men completed their 1st round
