These are strange races. Normally in a Points Race it is just one rider per country and there is never a question of team tactics. Aussies had agreed to ride as a team; England, Canada & NZL didn’t.

News is positive, Matt Walls, the most badly injured rider, is conscious and in hospital. It was bad, though. We have seen one spectator taken away in a wheelchair covered in blood, others are in shock.
