De eerste quotumplaatsen voor Nederland zijn binnen. Aan het onderdeel dressuur mogen in 2024 3 rijders meedoen. Tijdens het WK in Herning werd teamNL vertegenwoordigd door: Dinja van Liere 78.835% Emmelie Scholtens 74.410% Thamar Zweistra 72.376% Marieke van der Putten 71.118% Uiteindelijk eindigde het team op de 5de plaats. Een top 6 klassering was nodig voor plaatsing. Nederland was niet met het sterkste team vertegenwoordigt omdat Gal (pauze heeft ingelast), Minderhout (blessure) en van Baalen (blessure) niet opgesteld konden worden.

a big dutch squad will participate at the European Championships. 60 athletes have qualify for the Dutch team. How many medals will they bring home? My prediction: Femke Bol at the 400 hurdles (gold), Lieke Klaver 400 metres (silver) Anouk Vetter heptathlon (silver), Nadine Visser 100 hurdles (silver), Jessica Schilder shot-put (silver), Jorinde van Klinken discus throw (bronze) 4x400 woman (silver) Liemarvin Bonevacia 400 meter (bronze), Tony van Diepen 800 metres (silver), 4x400 men (gold)

good job from Dinja van Liere for the Dutch team. Even with the two best riders from the Netherlands (Gal en Minderhout) not taking part, should be possible to get a place at the top 6. Germany, UK and Denmark will go for the medals. The dutch team have 2 riders in action today: Emmelie Scholtens will score between the 72% and 73% as she did in Rotterdam a few weeks ago. And Marieke van der Putten wil score between 73% and 74% as she did in Ermelo a few weeks ago.

Not impressed yet, but the tournament is long. Van Domselaar did a good job as goalkeeper. Was just her second appearance for the dutch "oranjeleeuwinnen". Only 22!

finaly the wait is over for the Dutch team, hope the Dutch will play a good tournament. Starting with Sweden. In the Netherlands there is not an orange fever yet, but who knows. Good luck to all the fans!!
