Quite a shame for Canada.

 

I really hope karate returns to the Olympics, but that likely won't happen until the IOC loosens the tight control of athlete quotas (or if one of the 28 sports is removed)

you qualified 3 directly and can get max 2 from continental quotas , so the answer is 5

 

all 3 women's Kumite events + men's 67kg and men's 75kg.

I haven't been watching today but this is had been a whirlwind day for my emotions nonetheless.
