I feel so sorry for Maruyama...losing a match like this is more than a heartbreaker...but I'm happy that the eventual winner is Abe, since Manuel Lombardo has shown he has more chances to beat him than Maruyama... Kim Polling went to the courts, as is the unfortunate tradition in Dutch judo, and yesterday heard that she will not be awared the ticket, it remains with Van Dijke. Too bad Polling has been acting as such an incredibly sore loser, Van Dijke was better when it mattered most, end of story. Polling's fans sort of disagree and are spamming social media with bullshit about how Van Dijke is an 'unknown' and such. Sure, she's less famous (although let's face it, judo is small and most people don't really know Polling neither), but she did win her second European title this year and got two silvers in between - three straight finals.
