Swimswam uses only december 2020 results in their 2020-21 rankings I think

I came up with the following rankings:

Mens 400 free:

Winnington 3:42.65

McLoughlin 3:43.27

Malyutin 3:44.18

Wellbrock 3:44.35

Auböck 3:44.51

Detti 3:44.65

De Tullio 3:44.83

Märtens 3:44.86

Mens 400 IM:

Seto 4:09.02

Kalisz 4:09.09

Marchand 4:09.65

Clareburt 4:09.87

Borodin 4:10.02

Smith 4:10.04

Litherland 4:10.33

Razzetti 4:11.17

Mens 100 breast:

Peaty 57.39

Kamminga 57.90

Andrew 58.14

Martineghi 58.37

Shymanovich 58.46

Wilson 58.50

Wilby 58.58

Schwingenschlögel 58.95

Womens 400 free:

Titmus 3:56.90

Ledecky 3:59.25

Bingjie Li 4:02.36

Cook 4:04.10

Egorova 4:04.10

Quadarella 4:04.66

Madden 4:04.86

McIntosh 4:05.13

Womens 400 IM:

Weyant 4:33.81

Flickinger 4:33.96

Hosszu 4:34.76

Ohashi 4:35.14

Willmott 4:35.70

Yiting Yu 4:35.94

Mihalyvari-Farkas 4:36.81

Franceschi 4:37.06

Womens 100 fly:

Huske 55.66

Yufei Zhang 55.73

McKeon 55.93

MacNeil 56.14

Curzan 56.43

Hansson 56.73

Throssell 57.11

Sjöstrom 57.34

I think MacNeil and McIntosh will improve on their times today. O‘Croinin in the 400 might also join the top 8 today and later on 1 or 2 Canadian women could also make the 400 IM Top 8.

Quadarella in any case won't swim the 400m free at the Olympics...she's going to focus only on the 800m and the 1500m...

Yes, I know. Same is true for Wellbrock in men‘s 400 free.

I wonder if Throssell will swim 100 fly in Tokyo.

She hasn't achieved Australian QT at trials.

She has been selected, so I don’t see why she wouldn’t get an individual swim. Bigger question mark for me is Sjöstrom. I think the top 6 from that list + Shkurdai will make the final, not sure about the 8th spot, maybe someone from France or Italy.

Sjöstrom already decided to take part in the freestyle events only, so no 100 butterfly for her

I think McIntosh isn´t swimming the 400 in trials.

Day 1 Canada qualifiers (not official, but hit the A standard in the final). "Selection committee" will make the ultimate call due to Covid 19.

Women's 100m butterfly: Maggie McNeil (56.19) and Katerine Savard (57.86)

Men's 100m butterfly: Joshua Liendo (51.72), had 51.40 in prelims.

Women's 100m backstroke:  Kylie Masse (57.70, new NR) and Taylor Ruck (59.60)

Men's 100m backstroke: Markus Thormeyer (53.40), Cole Pratt (53.54)

Women's 400m freestyle: Surprisingly no one hit the A standard. I'd expect them to still name two people here.

Men's 400m freestyle: No one with the standard.

Summer McIntosh's coach is looking pretty smart now not making her swim the 400m at trials. Swimming Canada will almost certainly send her and Emily Overholt in that event.

Kylie Masse is looking like a real contender again.
