So happy our girl Theodora Gkountoura has officially qualified now! In 2019 she became the first Greek fencer to win a medal at the World Championships. Now it's time for her to become the first Greek fencer to win an Olympic medal since 1896!

I thought that I should do this comparison between Tokyo and the previous Olympic team events. I will edit this post later today when Russia or France qualifies in Men's sabre.

so, the women's Team Sabre field is completed...

:RUS Russia

:ITA Italy

:FRA France

:KOR South Korea

:HUN Hungary

:USA United States

in the women's Individual Sabre, instead, we have to wait for the Continental tournaments, but so far we already have 3 fencers from any of the 8 Nations qualified to the Team competition, possibly some Japanese wild cards and the qualified athletes via World ranking:

:UKR Olga Kharlan

:GRE Theodora Gkountoura

:JPN Misaki Emura

:CAN Gabriella Page

:EGY Nada Hafez

:IND Bhavani Devi Chadalavada
