But not necesarilly name them? And in that case, when's the deadline to name the athletes? today, the international federations were supposed to announce the final start lists, and to NOCs eventual redistributed and reallocated quotas, the national federations and committees must announce whether they agree and confirm their interest in them. The names of the athletes should also be announced today, but they can still be exchanged, for serious reasons, no later than one week before the start of the games. Jur 486 Posted July 5, 2021 #132 Share Posted July 5, 2021 We are such clowns....... I dont trust our cycling federation for anything, so I'm going to be nervous until I saw the riders at the starting line lmao Thanks!
hckošice 13,128 Posted July 5, 2021 #133 Share Posted July 5, 2021 For example our Triathletes Richard Varga is 1st under the line in M individual and Romana Gajdošová is 1st under the line in W Individual (Quite unique and rare situation, but what can we do, the mixed relay introduction in Triathlon fucked up everything) however, we have no quota now. since only Denmark rejected their male quota but was awarded to Russia to fullfil the relay team. Now both our athletes are ..de facto out of the games, but are still classified as alternates and have to be prepared because, The Dead-line is until 1 week before the games start, so they can be called anytime until then to replace if any of the currently confirmed quota, athlete will not be able to start. dcro 10,172 Posted July 7, 2021 #134 Share Posted July 7, 2021 Josip Rumac received a reallocation for the men's road race. Someone must have withdrawn (Croatia ended up as the first reserve in the nations rankings). So our cycling is saved after all. hckošice 1 #banbestmen
dcro 10,172 Posted July 7, 2021 #135 Share Posted July 7, 2021 Looks like it came from Sweden. So +1, -1 Link #banbestmen
dcro 10,172 Posted July 14, 2021 #136 Share Posted July 14, 2021 It appears Estonia declined one of their M time trial places. It went to Latvia. Also, somehow was allowed to send a time trial-only athlete - Amber Neben?? This is so shady. https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/en/results/cycling-road/entries-by-event-women-s-individual-time-trial.htm #banbestmen

I think one of their road cyclists (Chloe Dygert) is competing in track cycling so there isn't an increase in athlete quotas.
dcro 10,172 Posted July 15, 2021 #138 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Looks like Sweden dropped out of women's road cycling too... Nobody got the reallocation? Mexico got it for the time trial. This would suggest that declined. https://www.uci.org/docs/default-source/official-documents/tokyo-2020---olympic-games/20210714-tokyo2020-entries.pdf #banbestmen
