Makes more sense than to start it all over if they make some deals with UEFA. If this whole ESL thing was about some top clubs securing their spot in the top international competition in case of a bad season in the national league, I am not sure why they couldn't just wait for UEFA to introduce the wild cards into the CL, which will make it almost impossible for them to miss the competition.
