heywoodu 13,499 Posted August 4, 2021 #721 Share Posted August 4, 2021 Weertman was pretty clear: the shape was good, the race plan was a mistake for which there was no plan B. Makedonas 1,557 Posted August 5, 2021 #726 Share Posted August 5, 2021 Congrats to all medalists! Very happy that Kynigakis finished 5th. Just 22 years old. Looks like the future of Greek marathon swimming is in good hands even after Gianniotis' retirement. Overall I'm so proud of our Greek athletes despite the small number of medals so far in Tokyo. We had so many people in their late teens and early 20s achieve good results and it really makes me confident for 2024 and 2028.
