This is the official death of croatian handball. All of the players that could give us at least 5 more years will retire and the new generations have no leaders. Probaby never gonna see olympics again. Two-time olympic champions - signing out!

This is quickly turning into a dumpster fire...

 

Just for some perspective, we were already at a point where our NOC simply stopped (!) sending athletes to qualification events (table tennis, wrestling).

 

And now, after losing a seemingly safe qualification, I can't even imagine what will the consequences be.

Well, it wouldn't have come as a surprise, hadn't I seen France leading 28-25 four minutes or so before finish. To be eliminated this way really hurts.

We were probably also a victim of the schedule, but that happens in sport. Congratulations to Portugal.

One should have expected this outcome, whenever France and Portugal are involved, it doesn't end good for us.

Given how unusual it is and that it involves two different federations, it seems like a fair assumption...
