nitinsanker 179 Posted March 22, 2016 #143 Share Posted March 22, 2016 As per the report by Hindu .....there was an open event at the same time as the Asian 20 Km race walking event and two Indians clocked 1:20 times ( better than Gurmeets 1:20 ) , and one of them equalled irfans national record at 1:20:21................ This is great news as then there were 3 indians recording 1:20 timings in one event ...it is only a matter of time that they break the 1:20 barrier and reach 1:19 or so which could put them into medal contention at the olympics ( 2015 IAAF world championship 20km gold medal was 1:19:14 and bronze at 1:19:57 ) "Interestingly Devender equalled the four-year-old national record of K.T. Irfan while finishing fifth overall in 1:20.21s while Manish was sixth in 1:20.26" http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-sports/gold-for-gurmeet-but-rio-still-in-doubt/article8382725.ece strength does not come from physical capacity but from an indomitable will. - Gandhi

But its unfortunate that no one recognizes them...I agree with him when he says, If they don't recognize why should he go n intro himself...I was a great fan of Gagan rather then Rajpal to be true.. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/icc-world-t20-2016/top-stories/Rajpal-Singh-Leader-in-hockey-guardian-in-cricket/articleshow/51506238.cms Tokyo - 2020 Go India Go
