Suneet 16 Posted May 30, 2016 #1481 Share Posted May 30, 2016 So what are the events this week with Indian participation? 1. Surely a huge week in tennis as we move into the business end of the French Open. Also ranks for olympic qualifying freeze after the tournament. 2. Indonesia Open where Saina, Sameer Verma and the doubles teams would be participating. What else?

tirtha22 64 Posted May 30, 2016 #1490 Share Posted May 30, 2016 Shooting Rio Test Event unwanted incidents The test event in Rio served some wake up calls for the country’s shooters. Skeet shooter Mairaj Khan and London Olympics bronze medallist Gagan Narang both suffered setbacks. While Mairaj didn’t have enough pellets with him to last the entire final, Narang suffered ammunition failure, which resulted in him shooting a score of ‘0’ in the prone event. at the end of the gold medal match, he and his Swedish opponent were tied at 14 targets each, leading to a shoot off. Since Mairaj had run out of ammunition, he lost after the first target in the shoot off and had to settle for silver. Rules don’t permit a shooter to get additional ammunition during a match.
