Which events shall count for ranking points for Shooting. ISSF Grand Prix for Shotgun in Morocco is going on but hardly anyone is participating.

Only Anish Bhanwala has a realistic chance of qualifying via World Rankings in 25 m rapid fire pistol.

What would happen if India doesn't utilise the quota earned by Chinki Yadav in 25m pistol, to whom and which event will it go to

For Olympics qualification rankings only 1 competition is remaining: Delhi World Cup in March.

A nation can win a quota via ranking only in events where it has not won any quota. So, we are eligible only in 25m M, Trap M, Trap W and Skeet W. No chance in women events. In Trap, a number of high ranking athletes are yet to qualify and there is only 1 spot remaining at European Championship, so no chance there as well. Regarding Anish, though he is ranked highest at present, the amount of points on offer at Delhi is much larger than his point total, so if one of the chasers do finish substantially higher than Anish, he might miss out.

Most likely, we will be swapping Chinki's quota for another quota. We can use Manu and Yashaswini's quota in 10m and Rahi's quota in 25m with Manu starting in both. Regarding the swap, we cannot swap across genders, so that leaves us with only 2 options: 50x3 and Shotgun events. If Anjum is selected in 10m, we don't need another quota in 50x3, as she will start alongside Tejaswini. But if Apurvi and Elavenil are selected in 10m, then most likely, we will swap Chinki's quota for second quota in 50x3. Plus, I think even if we chose Elavenil in 10m and Anjum in 50x3, if we want, we can select Anjum for the Mixed Team event.

Uttarakhand’s Ankita Dhyani announced her arrival as a middle- and long-distance runner of immense potential by breaking Sunita Rani’s National U20 Record in the women’s 5000m on the opening day of the 36th National Junior Athletics Championships at the Sarusajai Stadium here today.

Having clocked 16:37.90 in winning the 5000m Federation Cup Junior U20 Athletics Championships in Bhopal on January 26, 18-year-old Ankita Dhyani improved her time to 16:21.19 to improve the National Record from 16:21.59 that Sunita Rani had set in the Summer Universiade at the Stadio Cibali in Catania, Italy on August 26, 1997.

Anurag Singh Kaler, a 11th standard student from Kafurpur in Amroha district, dominated the Shot Put competition by lowering the National Record U-16 twice with his first two attempts over 19.23m and 20.16m.

Brilliant, thanks for the information
