I love how scared shitless conservatives are of taxes. You should maybe also do some research on Bernie Sander’s healthcare and education plans before posting such things. Just saying.

All the things i read for Sanders are VERY socialist, i cant believe how somebody with that kinds of ideas came from USA, the libertarians like me, hate the taxes like the conservatives.....in my case is obvius because my country is the second of the world with more taxes.

So, guess I’m not a big Modi fan then.

When I saw that John Oliver had done his piece on Modi, my first thought was “Oh boy, now @Olympian1010 would go on a rant on Modi.” I even watched the video to counter your imminent rant but after watching the video, I gave up. I simply don’t have the time and patience to correct the various mistakes in the video.

I mean he cites reputable sources, and it’s not really a secret that Modi is a Hindu nationalist. I think their are good aspects to his leadership, but there are also clear downsides. I respect John Oliver very much, and I trust the information he puts out.

Has anyone ever won an election on the promise of raising taxes? :p  George H.W. Bush got run out of town when his "read my lips" comment about taxes proved to be false.

This primary has turned incredibly nasty in the course of three days. I don’t see a single democrat getting more than 40% in the election is this is how we’re going to behave. I’ll straight refuse to vote for a non-Bernie Democrat at this point.

I am sure neither you nor John Oliver can even define Hindu, let alone define Hindu nationalism, so having a debate on that is futile. (Modi is for sure a Hindu nationalist, and so am I).

You also think Slumdog Millionaire is respectable source.

I don’t think Slumdog Millionaire is a creditable source at all, but it does reflect themes of India that we see through primary sources.

Also, the guy in the green shirt in that interview is my hero.

I could never be for someone who supports one religious group over another. Well, I guess there’s a difference/line in that case depending on the circumstances. Modi doesn’t meet the qualifications for me there I guess.

I think you’d also be surprised with how through John Oliver can be...

Thorough??? That's the last thing I can see from that video. I disagree with many things that Modi do, ranging from his politics to the current economy but that video is just full of gaping holes.
