Germany should be at least 10 seconds faster than France in team pursuit if they want to medal. In women’s team sprint I expected an easy gold, but China and Russia seem to be among the few countries that profited from the pandemic. I guess this is also the explanation for the poor performances in doping sports like athletics, swimming and rowing? Trust me, if Germany wanted to win tons of medals in those events, they easily could. The know-how is still there, but it is mainly used by other countries (for example GB in rowing).
