Noone did. And while Pidcock was a gold 'hope' he made it look easy. I'm in a good mood now

Where are all the doom sayers today? Three gold medals so far and Lauren Williams is going for another in the final of her taekwondo category this afternoon.

Just to note that Emma Wilson is also challenging strongly for gold in the windsurfing which is one of the sailing classes which has started. After six of the 12 races she's tied on pts at the top of the fleet with the French sailor

I'm not saying anything but :CHN lost in Table Tennis and Diving today :D

And the USA lost at basketball yesterday. For what it's worth it's a myth that China wins all the gold medals in diving. Today was the ninth time since 2000 that they missed out on gold.

Anyway a good day overall. We got our expected gold, one of our 'maybe' golds and an 'unlikely' gold. Silver in triathlon is good but we could have had gold. Taekwondo I'm happy with a silver. Fifth in the medal table behind :JPN:USA:CHN:ROC is what we expect and normally we improve as time goes on

For tommrow The main Medal Hopes are Duncan Scott in the Swimming, Bianca Walken in the Taekwondo, the team dressage and any one of the British Trio in the Women’s Triathlon. Possibly but not likely hopes are Thomas Dean in the swimming, Eden Cheng and Lois Toulson in the diving ,Mahama Cho in the Taekwondo and the rugby sevens. Any other medals would be massive upsets,
