Monzanator 3,569 Posted June 19, 2019 #361 Share Posted June 19, 2019 It's been retaken... 3-3!!! This is happening too fast for my writing now... both teams are out if the draw stands though.

Monzanator 3,569 Posted June 19, 2019 #364 Share Posted June 19, 2019 Yeah, that's correct both these games have to end in a draw so goes through with 2 pts. A 1-0 win for Cameroon leaves them equal with Nigeria on goal difference so yellow/red cards come into play and Cameroon is ahead there. Chile needs to win by 3 goals, a 2-0 win still gives Nigeria the better goal difference.
chrischi08 15 Posted June 19, 2019 #365 Share Posted June 19, 2019 And a ridiculously short stoppage time in the Argentina-Scotland match, especially with both teams still needing a goal. The penalty alone took 7,5 minutes. It should have been at least 10 minutes of stoppage time, not 5.
EselTheDonkey 622 Posted June 19, 2019 #366 Share Posted June 19, 2019 Result couldn't have been worse. Germany - Brazil becomes more likely. Still well done, Argentina. Great Fighting spirit. But, I, too don't understand why there were only five minutes extra time. konig

JoshMartini007 2,130 Posted June 19, 2019 #368 Share Posted June 19, 2019 If we get USA > Sweden and Netherlands > Canada tomorrow then the eight European teams will face non-European opposition, meaning they will likely have to defeat a non-European team to keep their Olympic hopes alive. Of course, the possibility of Netherlands/Sweden or Sweden/Spain in the round of 16 remains
