Athletics 52 is most probably correct based on Road to Tokyo list. I don't see any intention that we may give up any quotas including relays. Diving 10 may change due to double starter situation, ranging from 9-10. Swimming 30 may change due to relay consideration, ranging 30-33. Based on what I know China will not use maximum relay quotas. Other issue, boxing may receive a reallocation quota in M91+kg due to Australian withdrawal and China count water polo 13 quotas due to unclarity on the qualification document as well as Japan counted 13. China failed to exchange the unused men 10m air rifle quota so someone may receive this reallocation quota in coming days. Gianlu33

Federer91 2,134 Posted July 1, 2021 #604 Share Posted July 1, 2021 Not surprising, ego-maniac Grigor Dimitrov is not going, as he can't be bothered. We are also rejecting one women's quota in shooting, which led to a mini-scandal today. We had 3 quotas won, but apparently only 2 people from a nation can enter the events, so 1 girl is not going. This begs the question, what kind of a qualification system they are using in shooting.. Also, only 5 people in athletics, oh my, oh my We can't even fill the lower tier rankings anymore. I feared this would happen with Grigor. He did not participate in the Davis Cup during the qualification period, so I think he is ineligible. On top of that, he signed for the Los Cabos tournament a few weeks ago, so I saw it coming. Could there be some conflict with the Bulgarian Tennis federation, maybe? He does not appear at Sofia Open, he does not play Davis Cup and now he is out of the Olympics. No matter how good he is at the game, his attitude is not appropriate for a person, saying how much he loves competing for his nation, every second interview. Makedonas 1,571 Posted July 1, 2021 #607 Share Posted July 1, 2021 It's very sad to see Bulgaria with only 42 athletes. It seems like every time their team gets smaller and smaller (same problem with us as well)

Bulgaria could have chosen all 3 without any problem. Issue is you guys chose to select the same 2 shooters in both pistol events. Also, even after that, Bulgaria could have swapped the extra pistol quota for another quota in Rifle or Shotgun women as long as the new shooter had MQS in the event. Problem is we don't have good shooters in Rifle or Shotgun. It's only Pistol and that's it.
