I am not surprised there are no big expectations, given that China haven't dominated badminton for some years now, like they do in table tennis, or weightlifting for example. The competition is much tougher now. I don't think you would get 5 golds. Womens singles is almost certainly a miss for me and the mens singles are also tricky. The Danes have looked very good. 3 doubles golds look the most probable. It's just for cheering up. I don't seriously mean it. I mean they performed beyond my expectation. Tomorrow is crucial for our fate in Women's double and Men's double, men's double is pretty hard in final actually. For women's single, I think Sindhu is very hard if she perform in her best condition, we have big chances if meeting others. For Men's single, very unpredictable, Danes seem favorite but today's winning give me confidence. Let's see then.
Gianlu33 3,546 Posted July 29, 2021 #103 Share Posted July 29, 2021 I usually follow Cordon in some low-tournament (I'm a big fan of Caponio, and they do the same circuit) and wow. He is a nice player, but i didn't expect that he could reach the QF. Adriano and mrv86

Dolby 712 Posted July 30, 2021 #105 Share Posted July 30, 2021 Sindhu defeats last Japanese hope Akane in straight sets. Since, making her debut at Senior level, Sindhu has failed to reach Semis of only two WC/Olympics: 2012 Olympics, where a 16 year old Sindhu narrowly missed out on qualification and 2015 WC, where she lost in 3 sets in QF.
