hckošice 13,133 Posted February 23, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted February 23, 2017 FIS NORDIC SKIING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hoelzl on top in qualification Chiara Hoelzl won the qualification for the ladies individual competition in Ski Jumping at the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships in Lahti (FIN). With 96,5 meters and 123,6 points the Austrian took a clear win ahead of Elena Runggaldier and Junior World Champion Manuela Malsiner of Italy. Runggaldier performed a jump to 91,5 meters and came in 9,2 points behind Hoelzl. Malsiner with longest jump Her teammate Manuela Malsiner to 98,5 meters but missed out on the landing and got 114,0 points. Fourth place of the qualification went to Lea Lemare of France with 92,5 meters and 113,7 points ahead of the best Slovenian Spela Rogelj with 112,0 points and Sarah Hendrickson of the United States with 111,3 points. Kaori Iwabuchi, one of only two Japanese girls who are not prequalified, came in 7th ahead of Evelyn Insam and Nika Kriznar. Taylor Henrich in top ten Taylor Henrich of Canada completed the top ten. The 15 year old French girl Lucile Morat can look forward to her first World Championships after a 12th place in the qualification ahead of Germany´s Ramona Straub and Gianina Ernst. Sofya Tikhonova finished 15th and was best Russian athlete. Two Chinese girls qualified With Xinyue Chang and Xueyao Li on places 19 and 26 two Chinese ladies qualified for the competition on Friday. The Finnish hosts will be represented by Julia Kykkaenen who came in 20th, Daniela Haralambie will take part for Romania after her 22nd place. Barbora Blazkova and Marta Krepelkova qualified for the Czech Republic on a shared 28th place. Wuerth, Seifriedsberger and Vogt strong Out of the prequalified ladies Svenja Wuerth, Jaqueline Seifriedsberger and defending champion Carina Vogt made the best impression with each 93,0 meters. World Cup overall winner Sara Takanashi performed 92,5 meters. Russia´s Irina Avvakumova, who suffered a broken rib 3 weeks ago in Hinzenbach (AUT) apparently was still handicapped and jumped 80,5 meters. The competition of the ladies in Lahti starts on Friday at 4.30 pm CET (Lahti CET +1).
