Or because of fast athletes deciding to compete, who don't have a lot of FIS races/good FIS points and so need to start in the qualifying race...

Crnković comes to mind.

He destroyed the field in 2017... in classic technique...

Roll call during yesterday's team captain's meeting (courtesy of TTO's Instagram)

Tanzania represent :p

And New Zealand is there with (at least) young and promising biathlete Campbell Wright, which is cool. Bolivia probably with the Finnish guy, and Venezuela probably not with Solano :p

No Moldova? :yikes:

Not having those suddenly appearing fast Moldovans is not an unwelcome surprise :d

But who knows, this was the roll call for last night, maybe tonight is different since people are still arriving.

Countries missing who had skiers at the 2018 Winter Olympics: :BER:IND:KGZ:MDA:PRK:PAK:TGA:TOG

I’m a little surprised that India, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova didn’t field skiers.

They had some non-biathlete racers at FIS races recently. Would be shocking if they skipped this.

I was sort of surprised about Togo, but now I see they weren't in 2019 neither and Petitjean has basically not competed anymore since early 2018. Too bad.
