This guy, Pavel Magazeev last season (after a 10-year absence), Alina Stremous who appeared out of absolutely nowhere and is consistently posting top skiing times... They are buidling a solid team for the Olympics. Mixed relay qualfication (via 2+2 individuals) is more than just possible. #banbestmen
hckošice 13,246 Posted February 13, 2021 #62 Share Posted February 13, 2021 Since no one apparently care two shits about this event, I´ll just say that Haavard Bogetveit won todays ultra freezing M sprint with perfect shooting ahead of Justus Strelow and a certain Erlend Bjoentegaard of with 2 standing misses. 5 and 4 and one in Top 10 2 Slovaks on points, and a rare image of Hungarian biathlete on the track
RobtheAggie 339 Posted February 13, 2021 #63 Share Posted February 13, 2021 I totally forgot it was happening. US men did not too bad. I still like that they have 5 men and 5 women in the race. So much better for long term development.
Swewi 299 Posted February 13, 2021 #64 Share Posted February 13, 2021 One step back in shooting but first time Stina Nilsson has the fastest ski time in an IBU race.

hckošice 13,246 Posted February 13, 2021 #66 Share Posted February 13, 2021 and it was a German day among women in a smaller but still pretty hardcore typical Slovak february frost. Vanessa Voigt won the sprint ahead of Ekaterina Noskova and another Anna Weidel by 0.6 resp. 5.7 sconds. All top 3 shoot clean. No points for the host this time, but at least 2 girls made it to the pursuit, the young of the Machynaková sisters Julia and Lucia Michaličková with 46th and 48th., interesting both started with bibs 22 and 23 and they skied together almost the whole race Spoiler
RobtheAggie 339 Posted February 13, 2021 #67 Share Posted February 13, 2021 US women put three in the Pursuit. Not bad at all. Granted, they were 50, 52, and 57, but I will take it. @hckošice thanks for the pictures. From the last group pictures, it looks they had some spectators at the race. Unless those were all coaches on that climb in the background.

RobtheAggie 339 Posted February 14, 2021 #69 Share Posted February 14, 2021 In the men's Pursuit Germany goes 1 and 2 with Nawrath and Strelow. Norway then takes the next 6 spots. Makarov of Moldova went from 54th to 25th with only one miss. Tobias Eberhard started 20th but ended up 43rd.
RobtheAggie 339 Posted February 17, 2021 #70 Share Posted February 17, 2021 Maddie Phaneuf of the US got 3rd place in the Short Individual. 1,2,4,5 were all Germans. Men's short individual was Russia, Germany, Norway.
