justony 444 Posted December 10, 2020 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2020 This is going to be hard to watch, for the first time in 23 years I won't be there. ? To joke somehow, it is good our team is not among favourites, it will be easier to accept watching only on TV. ?
Gianlu33 3,570 Posted December 10, 2020 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2020 Kraft will not compete in Planica after a back pain in the training session. Switzerland has a case of positivity among the technical staff, the Swiss jumpers will not participate Peter Prevc was excluded by technical choice

heywoodu 13,540 Posted December 10, 2020 #5 Share Posted December 10, 2020 Wikipedia fail Eisenbichler definitely didn't have the longest jump of the qualifying round. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,540 Posted December 10, 2020 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2020 Just now, intoronto said: What is the diff. Between ski flying and jumping? Flying is done on huge-ass hills, of which there are only five in the world. One could sort of compare it with running 5k vs 10k: it's both distance running and generally those who are good in one are good in the other as well, but there are significant differences. intoronto 1 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! phelps 6,781 Posted December 10, 2020 #8 Share Posted December 10, 2020 Just now, intoronto said: What is the diff. Between ski flying and jumping? basically, bigger hills, faster inrun speed, way longer distance covered by the jumpers... then of course, there are also other technical details and especially the mental aspect that play a decisive role, but for the average spectator watching on tv the 3 parameters mentioned above are the main things to be noticed... intoronto
