Not surprised to see him take this race, as he used to train in that same venue in this season when he competed asa junior and U23 rider.
heywoodu 13,540 Posted October 1, 2020 #5 Share Posted October 1, 2020 So Evie Richards winning her top-level debut, Ulloa winning the men's race...curious what today will bring, the first big races of the very short season, the women are coming up now. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Vojthas 947 Posted October 1, 2020 #8 Share Posted October 1, 2020 Where were all the stars? Neff, Włosczowska, Langvad, Bresset, Lechner, Žakelj, Belomoina, Rissveds - all out of top ten.

I think these results were heavily influenced by the chance of having regular training sessions during the last months... the Italian riders, for instance, had to take a long break and surely they're not in top shape right now...hopefully they'll be more competitive when the world champs come... France never took serious measures against covid (and we all see that with their current numbers of daily new cases and deceased people) and their athletes had more chances to keep on training all Spring and Summer long, so now they're in better shape than anybody else... p.s. by the way, an Italian girl won (surprisingly, I must say) the U-23 race...little consolation, at least...
