Cuba will qualify directly to the Round of 16 alongside Cape Verde if they win or draw against Chinese Taipei. Mali will book at least repechage place if they defeat Iceland in their match. Mali must not lose this match in order to stay in the competition. However, on the flip side Iceland will be assured of at least a repechage place if they beat Mali and could even sneak into the second qualification spot for the Round of 16 if Cuba are defeated and the vote difference is overturned. Whatever happens, it is a must-win game for Iceland. For Chinese Taipei, the situation is much more perilous. They must win against Cuba and hope for a draw in the match between Mali and Iceland in order to qualify for the repechage round. The permutations: Cuba will qualify directly to the Round of 16 with a win or draw OR if they lose but Mali v Iceland ends in a draw or in a narrow win for Iceland coupled by a narrow defeat for Cuba. Cuba will advance to the repechage if they lose but Mali wins their game OR if Iceland win by an adequate margin. Mali must not lose in order to stay in the competition. Mali will qualify directly to the Round of 16 if they win and Cuba are defeated in their match. Mali will advance to the repechage if they win OR if they draw but Chinese Taipei do not win their match. Iceland must win to either qualify directly to the Round of 16 or to advance to the repechage round. Iceland will qualify directly to the Round of 16 if they win AND Cuba are defeated, providing the margin of their win and Cuba's defeat is enough to overturn the vote difference. Otherwise, Iceland will advance to the Repechage Round. Chinese Taipei must win AND need Mali v Iceland to end in a draw in order to advance to the Repechage Round. A total of 8 match judges have been assigned the task of adjudicating this match. The judges are each allocated a specialised hut which are located at various vantage points surrounding the arena where the artists will perform. These judging huts can be seen in the diagram below with their locations denoted by letters (K, E, H, C, M, B, F and A).
