Had a good chance if a dual medal as well.
dcro 10,172 Posted August 7, 2020 #13 Share Posted August 7, 2020 Well, alpine skiing / marathon is still the most impressive combo IMO. Especially given that Njeim qualified in both sports on merit. #banbestmen
Vic Liu 1,558 Posted August 24, 2020 #14 Share Posted August 24, 2020 Korean media reports Victor Ann is going to be Chinese head coach with the contract of US$434,000 annual pay. He is currently under quarantine in Qingdao, China and going to sign the contract right after that. It's also reported that he decide to accept the offer after the consent of Russia. Good news for struggling team China. opruh
heywoodu 13,499 Posted December 30, 2020 #15 Share Posted December 30, 2020 No more 3km 'super final' at the Dutch allround championships, and there's talk about it being discussed for the European and World Championships as well. https://www.schaatsen.nl/nieuws/2020/december/superfinale-afgeschaft-op-nk-allround-shorttrack-usain-bolt-loopt-ook-geen-3000-meter-steeple/ If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! The whole “super final” concept was always really confusing. Either the 3000m should be run as a standalone distance or it should be eliminated. Why does that coach have such a hate-on for the 3000m Steeplechase which is, once again, the best race on the track? mrv86

He doesn't When he mentions the steeple he says "Usain Bolt isn't doing the 3k steeple, is he?" as a sort of point as to why a 3k super final is a bit of a weird thing in a sport where it's mainly about shorter distances. I know, not the best comparison at all (apart from Bolt also not doing 100m's anymore ), but it was definitely not something against the steeplechase If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
