World Champioships being basically meaningless? Everyone will try to peak for the Olympics, leaving the March Worlds as an afterthought, at best.

finally we have a decision...   and as expected, Cortina will host their World Champs in 2021, as originally scheduled...   https://www.fis-ski.com/en/international-ski-federation/

Just like it should be. Amen to that

Zermatt is proposing a 5km Downhill for the World Cup! :yikes: The race would start in Switzerland and end in Italy. There would be more than 1000m of elevation drop.

Interesting as that sound, the bigger thing that I had missed is that Wengen is apparently in danger

That would be terrible.

Don’t quite see how this will work, but I guess we’ll find out. Geez, the international sports calendar is going to be a mess this cycle.

What exactly would the issue be? I'm fairly certain they won't plan it exactly during the Olympics :p

When then?

One would assume either before or after the Olympics. There is quite literally 0% chance their plan is to move it to exactly the relatively short period in which the Olympics are held.

I would imagine the World Championships will be heavily impacted by the Olympics though. Right?
