If you’re more upset about the protest/boycott/strike (whatever the hell we’re labeling it), than you are about the reasons behind it, then you don’t get it yet. Just saying.

What if you are slightly upset (as in, not agreeing) with the athletes' latest protest/boycott/strike/refusals etc, but still are more upset about the reasons behind it? Is that ok? Or is it only acceptable to be completely upset with the reasons behind it and be entirely in favor of the athletes' protests?

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

A shocking and disgusting amount of wealth.

The funniest thing is how many people complain about this from their modern devices and stuff they bought on Amazon, with all kinds of stuff bought on Amazon in their house :d

No you can't. You are either a racist or you are not.

This argument is bad. You will always have to buy stuff from one rich guy or another if you want to live in almost any country.

Having to live in a certain system doesn't per se invalidate your criticism of it.

So much for that social equality then, huh? :p

Welcome to the real world where 1% of its population owns 80% of its wealth.

I suppose you're not boycotting Amazon though? ;)

It wasn't necesarily an argument as much as it was merely an observation. I am very much not a fan of Bezos neither, there are some incredibly rich people who at least spend part of their insane wealth in ways that benefit others, Bezos is definitely not one of them.

So NHL and NBA playoffs are both halted while waiting for a while? That gives some time to catch up on the games I have missed :p

Why bother?  If the season’s cancelled they will have all the excitement & drama of one of those pre-season tournaments played in Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur.

Nah, it's a matter of waiting for a while, saying 'and now things really have to change' and then get back to playing eventually. Without anything actually changing, sadly.
