14 countries have never won a medal at these games.

They are: :AIA:ANT:BIZ:BRU:FLK:GIB:MDV:NIU:SLE:RWA:MSR:STH:TUV:TCA

Can see a couple of these winning their first medals this week.

If Zharnel Hughes hadn't switched allegiances, he'd be one of the favourites in the sprints and a first medal for :AIA.

Same for Rai Benjamin for :ANT in the 400m hurdles, although they may also have an outside chance with Cejhae Greene in the sprints.

:RWA have a possible medal in the beach volleyball, although :ENG:AUS:NZL:CAN would probably need to slip up.

:SLE might have a chance with favourable draws in the boxing or wrestling, albeit unlikely.

Aside from that, I can't really see any possibilities

We have our first medal of the games!

"Due to lack of Tonga citizenship, Ula Mele in Woman's 70 - 75kg has been disqualified" - which means :NGR is auto guaranteed a bronze.

There really needs to be a rule that a medal can't be awarded unless you defeat someone. In 2018 :AUS got a free bronze medal in the women's flyweight.

One of :AIA:LCA:TAN:TUV will be guaranteed a bronze medal by virtue of the draw in men’s light heavyweight

2 of them countries have never won a medal at CWG. Big opportunity for :AIA and :TUV, they may never get one like it for a long time.

Massive massive opportunity for :NIU to win it's 1st ever medal in Mens Heavy weight.

It'll be a :NIU V :COK QF.

Niue have a medal at the pacific games from the same category albeit with a different boxer. Cook Islands didn't win any boxing medal last time. Their sending a 18 year old here so don't know if he's really good or is it just a exposure trip. Either way in worst case Cook island will match their 2018 tally but should not be suprising to see Niue win their first medal ever.
