Or, hear me out here: not scheduling a single distance championship over three days.

That has never been a problem, at all...until ISU started adding bullcrap like the team sprint. Just took a random world single distance championships of the past two decades:

Day 1:
Men's 500m, both runs
Men's 5000m
Women's 1500m

Day 2:
Men's 1500m
Women's 500m, both runs
Women's 3000m

Day 3:
Men's 1000m
Men's 10.000m
Women's 1000m
Women's 5000m

No problem at all, not a single day had a serious risk of any athletes getting in trouble.

Wow, 19-year old Femke Kok, still relatively unknown, throws down a 37.66 :hyper: As Dutch women go, only Margot Boer (37.64) has ever been faster outside of high altitude and overall only ten women have ever been faster in Heerenveen. Wow, she comes from 38.14 :d

Just realized it's a junior world record (!) for Kok, wtf :yikes: That was 37.78 by Kim Min-sin in Salt Lake City more than two years ago

I am mostly surprised by the fact that Dutch speed skating can still surprise you. :p

Dutch juniors are not very much known for being fantastic :p That usually comes a little later.

Also: breaking a (junior) world record in Heerenveen, while said WR was set in SLC, that's quite something.

But we have the team pursuit today! And the mass start! Oh the joy! :)
