Congratulations Ireland and the best fans of the tournament :bowdown::bowdown:

Thanks everyone for the good sentiments :). I just screamed my house down when the goal went in and danced around. I got home this evening and my 4-year-old nephew was awaiting me with his Ireland shirt on and urging me that I need to get mine on for the match. That brought a smile to my face. Now we get to put on our Ireland shirt and cheer on our team one more time in these Euros.... so so happy!

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!! Thank you Robbie Brady . Wonderful team performance! Yessss, we are through!!! :woohoo:

No Turks driving around their cars and honking everywhere around the Dutch cities :p ("Toeterturken" as they're called in Dutch, something as "honkingturks" :p )

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Too bad that it ends here.

The way the swedish team played today (well, technically it was yesterday) deserved at least one point and had they played like it against Ireland, I feel confident it would have been enough to win.

But on the other hand. Berg should never miss a chance like he was given. Had that been a goal or had the ref not taken away Zlatan's goal  (I would say it was wrong, but it's not an easy call), it would have been a completely different match.

Congratulations for Ireland. I wish it was Sweden against an Italian b-team, but no. The Irish team took the chance, and it's lovely to know that the great Irish fans will have another match to cheer for their team.

Now I'll be crossing my fingers for Iceland. They do afterall have some Swedish in the succes! :p

This loss also marked the end for 3 of the major Swedish profiles during many years, as Kim Källström, Andreas Isaksson and of course Zlatan Ibrahimovic ended their national team careers with the end of the tournament. It was also the last match for coach Erik Hamren.
