So... :UKR Mandziy is 2nd, :POL Sochowicz 3rd, :ROU Cretu 5th, :ITA Gulfer 7th, :ITA Felderer 8th after the first run.

Aside from Lillehammer and North America, all other races from this luge season have been as comical as this.

imagine if they cancel the 2nd run and take this result as the final ranking...:rofl::facepalm:

Oberhof :hearts:

Don't care about the German domination. If I ever visit WC luge competition - it shall be Oberhof.

Definitely recommend seeing sliding in person if you ever get the chance. I’ve been to both Whistler (awesome track, great viewing) and Park City (a bit older, too shades too often, still awesome). There’s absolutely nothing like seeing people slide past you in person.

Did anyone else get Arturs Darznieks singing "It's raining man, hallelujah" during Stakhiv/Lysetskiy's run in the relay? :d

He is such an awesome guest commentator, I wish he did every race in which he isn't racing himself.

Last week he dropped a bombshell about Sics and Sics: "Did you know they are brothers?" :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

  • 3 weeks later...

Austrian team will boycott the Winterberg stage. Apparently the track's profile was damaged in stormy mild weather conditions this week, what caused several nasty crashes in training.

FIL must be run by a bunch of idiots at this point. Every season they put this horrid Winterberg track at the most inappropraite point of the season. Granted, this year there was no Winter in Europe, but nevertheless, Winterberg should only ever be scheduled in mid-January. That's it.
