Sure, but she was simply the best overall skier this season. People are surely going to disagree with that, but I don't much care and think she's the deserved champion anyway.

I didn't realize the parallel crap gets its own globe until I read your post

 

This season has been a total shitshow, probably the worst I can ever remember since I started alpine skiing almost 30 years ago.

 

Obviously the Bansko 'downhill' takes the cake for the worst single race of them all.

It's bullshit and you know it. It's the same as Frida Hansdotter winning the 2016 slalom globe despite the fact she lost to Shiffrin in every single slalom they competed together that season   Circumstances favored Brignone and she did enough to hold off Vlhova who in turn couldn't even overhaul Shiffrin's overall points despite Shiffrin missing a whole month. Hell, Shiffrin still had more wins and podiums than Brignone this season
