If she wins because someone else (Goulão) had terrible bad luck, it's all because she was the best. If someone else wins because Mourão had bad luck (recent national champs) and you point out that last time she only won because of someone else's bad luck, they damn near threaten to kill you for not supporting her and for not saying she should have won.
